About Methodoro
Methodoro started from a simple frustration: most focus timers force everyone into the same fixed 25-minute rhythm. But the research is clear that the best technique depends on what you are doing and how much energy you have. A quick email burst and a three-hour deep coding session need completely different structures.
So we built one tool that brings together the focus methods high performers actually use — the classic Pomodoro, the flexible Flowtime technique, the 90-minute ultradian cycle, the 52/17 rule, Cal Newport's Deep Work blocks, and the student-favorite Animedoro. You pick the mode that fits the moment, or let our recommender suggest one based on your task and energy.
Methodoro is free, requires no account, and keeps your data private in your own browser. It works on desktop and mobile, and can be installed to your home screen as an app.
Our principles
- Match the technique to the task, not the other way around.
- A break only counts if it actually restores your focus.
- Privacy by default — your sessions stay on your device.
- Fast, calm, and free.
